Fine Msinga six strand neck band, isithembu style. (ZAX)

This classic Msinga district flat neck band is made up of six strands beaded in the traditional isithembu style, meaning five colours: dark green, black, red, pink and light blue. (See page 44, "Speaking With Beads" by Morris and Preston-Whyte). The closure on each strand consists of two large red beads which are held by a loop on the other end of each strand. Length 37 cm / 14 ½ inches, width 5 cm/ 2 inches.
